| Exhibit: "Bigfoot in Texas?" |
Bigfoot. Hairy Man. Sasquatch. All are names for a larger-than-human ape-like creature that has been spotted in Texas as far back as the 1830s and reported seen hundreds of times during the past decade throughout the state. Take a trek through the Big Thicket of East Texas and view hair samples, footprint and handprint casts, and photos provided by the Texas Bigfoot Research Center (TBRC) in Dallas. Listen to recorded vocalizations, see research field equipment and watch a video on Native American beliefs about Bigfoot. Hear monthly lectures from a fingerprint expert, cryptozoologists, and wildlife biologist, and then decide if you are a skeptic or believer in the "Woolly Booger." $7 for adults, $4 for children, seniors and military with id and free for UTSA students, faculty and staff. Museum open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays, closed Mondays and Easter Sunday.
