I continue to get nice comments on this newsletter, so many thanks for the vote of confidence. Dave Hancock is now prancing around on the Galapagos Islands, perhaps he will dream up a new theory on evolution - we certainly need one.
Did you Know , Nice to Know, or Need to Know
Some scientists imply that chasing Sasquatch is like chasing rainbows. Well, I have done that too, and you can find the end of a rainbow, but you have got to chase quite a few. Click Here
Daniel Perez (BIGFOOT TIMES newsletter) did not see my notification that my part of the San Antonio, Texas, sasquatch exhibit was cancelled. What he shows in his newsletter is therefore incorrect. The museum, Institute of Texan Cultures, stated they did not have room for all of the material I have. They will still have an exhibit, primarily using just the Texas material. My material will be displayed in Pocatello, Idaho, in June. More on this subject in the next newsletter. Click Here
Erick Beckjord informed me of a recorded Bigfoot sighting in Hawaii. In 1973, Rob Carleson and a friend (college students) while hiking near Whitmore Village, Wahiawa Mountains, Kaua'i, stated they encountered an 8 ft tall male bigfoot, and as they ran away they saw a giant female Bigfoot. Tracks 24 inches long were later found. (Glen Grant, Obake Files Mutual Publishing, 1996 [ISBN 1-56647-100-1])) p. 149. I see Bobbie Short has the details on her site Click Here What can I say? I do think that if the creatures are on the Hawaiian Islands there would have been more sightings.
Fossilized footprints discovered by Mary Leaky are really quite remarkable. One set seen here (the larger), appears to be in a straight line like Sasquatch prints. The other set (smaller prints) alternate like human prints. The prints are said to be more than 3 million years old. Click Here Here are some images of alleged Sasquatch footprints, Click Here
Beside his Gigantopithecus skull construction, Dr. Grover Krantz also constructed the skull of a Meganthropus, Click Here Check the net for information on this fellow.
A sighting in Kuala Lumpur is creating quite a stir. Click Here
Gary Krejci created this wonderful illustration for the Sasquatch Chronicle Click Here .It depicts Slavomir Rawicz observing two yeti in the Himalayas in 1941. Rawicz, along with six other escapees from a Siberian labor camp, observed the creatures for two hours. The incident is reported in Rawicz's book, The Long Walk. Gary has done quite a few illustrations for me - they are all truly remarkable.
RobRoy Menzies created this great Chronicle illustration, and beyond a doubt captured the moment Click Here. It depicts a scene in, Lumby, British Columbia, in 1973. Three young boys out "plinking" with a .22 caliber rifle saw a Sasquatch and shot at it. The bullets were not strong enough to penetrate the creature. RobRoy is also helping me out - really great material.
Just for the Record - shown in this photo are two glass tumblers, one atop the other. Please have a look Click Here
Now, it is certainly elementary that the tumbler on top will not fit inside the lower tumble unless it were slightly larger in circumference (at least by the width of the rim). If one were to make an impression of the top of one of the tumblers in sand or soil, then that impression will naturally be larger than the glass. Even if one made a rubber/plastic mold, the impression would still be larger - unless you shrunk it somehow. If one serial reproduces plaster footprint casts in sand (say four times), the last cast will be significantly larger than the original. Although I have not done this, I think one could make a cast of his own foot and then serial reproduce it many times and thereby get a "giant" cast. One could do the same with a hand print cast.
Datus Perry (d. 1998) is seen here in a photo I took in 1996. Datus claimed he had about 20 Sasquatch sightings and was a paranormal advocate (another notch in the belt for that group). Click Here
It continues to amaze me just how much detail can be seen in the Patterson/Gimlin film. Here is a 35mm photo of a telephone pole at 102 feet with a large Bigfoot head picture mounted on it. Click Here. Here is an enlargement of the head. Down a little is a white spot. This is a Canadian $2 coin.(28mm in diameter). Click Here. You really cannot see very much detail (although more is available on the actual photos). I would have thought a 35mm camera would have been superior to a 16mm movie camera (especially since the creature is only 1.2mm high in the frames) - I guess not. While this does not really prove anything, had Patterson used a 35mm still camera, this would have been about the quality of the photos. Can anyone tell me why the movie film is better?
This thing intrigues me ... Click Here Dr. Grover Krantz and Alexey Petrovich are seen by the huge cannon in the Kremlin, Moscow, that is known as the Tsar-Cannon. It was cast in 1586 by the Russian master A.Checkov. It weighs 40 tons; its length is 5.34m and its caliber is 890mm. It was made for the defense of the Kremlin but was never fired. It is now a monument to the art of casting in the 16th century. We just might have something here for Sasquatch hunting - especially in Texas.
Dr. Jeff Meldrum sent around an article on some new findings that has Doug Hajicek thinking - and rightly so. Here's a quote from the article (I provide a link below to the actual article). "Robust australopithecines, an extinct side branch of human evolution, roamed Africa 1.4 million to 2.5 million years ago. Members of these species are well known for their large teeth and distinctive facial features. But something odd was afoot as well, the researchers said. ?The anatomy of the ankle suggests that robust australopithecines had knees that wobbled inward when walking,? Now, this is basically what Hajicek clearly demonstrates with regards to the creature in the Patterson/Gimlin film . Doug's television production, Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science, says it all. Hopefully, this will result in more scientific attention to the P/G film.
