It was just North of Mansfield, very hilly – Where Ned Kelly used to hang out. It hasn’t changed since back then.
I was diving north along a dirt track that ends at a camp site. The sun was starting to get a bit low, so I didn’t think I’d have time to make it, so stopped to get my bearings.
It must have been on the hill watching me. When I stopped to get the map out, it must have thought it had been identified, and it just ran. These creatures are very well camouflaged, unless they’re moving you really wouldn’t know they were there.
It was a big hairy black man. It was quick. Faster than a person. Built like a rock. It was a little bit taller than me and very stocky. All black.
