I was heading back from Tin Can Bay to the Sunshine Coast on a back dirt road. The sun was starting to go down, but there was still enough light there to make things out. It was a back road from Tin Can Bay to Mooloolaba.
I around this bend in my ute and it went into a big straight. Ahead of me on the road was a tall figure standing upright, about 7ft tall and full on covered in dark brown hair. It seemed like longish hair. It just looked like a big hairy figure.
It turned its whole body around to look at my car, then ran off into the small shrub. I slowed down at the spot where he darted off to and I couldn’t see it. I wasn’t about to stop.
It was pretty tall and very hairy. If it was someone in a suit, they would have had to be pretty tall. I don’t think it was. It was about a quarter of the way across the road. One side of the road was heavily forested and the other side was low shrub, which surprised me why it would run off to that side and duck down into there. I slowed down, but wasn’t going to stop – that’s for sure!
When I came around the corner, he turned around, looked at me and darted away and must have hid behind something. It was upright like a human but 7ft and full on hairy. Dark colour. Had plenty of fur on him. It wasn’t slim and it wasn’t fat, just seemed appropriate for its size. When it turned to look at me, it turned its whole body. It was pretty tall and pretty hairy.
That’s all I saw and about all I can tell you about it. It was pretty strange.
