Teams To Track Bigfoot

JOHOR BAHARU, Jan 25 (Bernama) -- The state government will set up two expedition teams to track "bigfoot", the hairy creature allegedly seen in the forests of Johor.

Menteri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman said the teams would be led by experts who would conduct a study on various aspects of the creature as well as to explore the state forest.

He said the expedition to track the creature would be carried out in stages with the cooperation of the Johor National Park Corporation (JNPC).

"One team will explore the forest areas while the other to study the existence of the creature," he told reporters after chairing the weekly state exco meeting at the Sultan Ibrahim building, here Wednesday.

Abdul Ghani said the vast forest area of the state, including the Endau-Rompin National Park and at Kota Tinggi, should be explored to obtain scientific evidence on the existence of the creature.

"We have obtained description of the creature from those who claimed to have seen it ... we hope the expedition will be able to prove its existence," he added.

There have been claims of the creature been seen in the forests of Tanjung Piai, Mersing, Kahang, Endau-Rompin National Park and Kota Tinggi.

Three workers at a fish pond in Kampung Mawai, Kota Tinggi claimed to have seen a "bigfoot" family last November.

Tennessee Bigfoot Footage

Background on the video.

This is part of a video filmed by Mary Green in 2002, on a farm in Tennessee. There were several bigfoot investigators present when they went to check out the basement at the rear of the house. Janice Coy had said a bigfoot had been going into the basement, so they were checking it out. Mary stayed outside with the camera running. She did not, at the time, realize that her camera was capturing some kind of animal at the bottom of the hill, although she later recalled hearing a grunting sound. This video is cropped from the original, to better focus on the creature.

I can clearly see an object in the video. I see movement. It is brown in color and looks like a face?at least a round object and what looks like eye sockets. At one point, it looks like the object scatches its head with its right arm. It could be a mask, I don?t know.

Not sure what to make of it. It?s not conclusive evidence, but it sure is compelling.

________________________________________________

Update:

Here is a still from the video. Objects of interest have the obligatory red circles. The object at the bottom of the frame is the "head". The other objects circled are other Bigfoot that some see in the video. I can?t make out any objects in the trees, but the other object looks like the head of something to me. I see what look like deep, dark eye sockets and a mouth.

Search for Bigfoot comes to COM

The Galveston County Daily News

LEAGUE CITY ? Credit union bankers such as Daryl Colyer deal with hard, cold
facts. When
Colyer closes the books on his predictable world of mortgages and loans,
however, he opens
the door to a very different realm. He puts away his calculators and loan
applications and
dons camouflage gear and night-vision goggles and, in the dead of night, tromps
through
the middle of the woods hoping to stumble upon a 7-foot-tall hairy beast.

Colyer is a Bigfoot hunter, a description that invokes disparate reactions.

To some folks, he is completely off his rocker. But others, including his wife,
regard him
as a resourceful amateur scientist whose intimate knowledge of the nocturnal
primate, also
known as Sasquatch, legitimizes the creature?s existence.

Still pumped up from the annual Bigfoot conference held less than two weeks ago
in
Jefferson, Colyer and Craig Woolheater, director of the Texas Bigfoot Research
Center in
Dallas, will provide a history of Bigfoot on Friday during a College of the
Mainland
lecture.

Despite their unwavering dedication to their goal of providing irrefutable
evidence that
the creatures are real, they are somewhat guarded during interviews. It?s tough
being a
Bigfoot aficionado when your theories are often ridiculed.

?I have an advantage over the skeptic in that I?ve seen this animal,? said
Colyer, who
lives in Lorena, just south of Waco. ?The skeptic is the one who is just taking
a wild
guess. He?s not out there in the woods. He hasn?t seen biped tracks in the mud
or heard
their vocalizations. The skeptics propel and drive me to prove these animals do
exist.?

Woolheater, who owns a family plumbing business in Dallas, said interest in the
creature
has never been higher, evidenced by the nearly 400 people and national media
attention
focused on the Bigfoot conference.

The research center?s Web site, www.texasbigfoot.com, has had more than 2
million hits in
the past 19 months, and Bigfoot sightings are reported regularly to the center?s
hotline
from in and around the fringes of the state?s 12 million acres of forest.

?There is a long history of Bigfoot sightings in Texas, and thousands of people
have
reported seeing these creatures around the country,? said Woolheater. ?Now some
could be
lying, and some could have had a prank played on them, and some could be
misidentifying
them. And some really could have seen what they saw.?

Theories about Bigfoot?s origin have been around as long as the reported
sightings.
Woolheater laughingly dismisses those who believe Bigfoot is an extraterrestrial
being or
some kind of ghostlike spirit or monster. Some believe it is a missing link, a
descendent
of prehistoric apes that once roamed the landmass that developed into North
America.

The most well-known and controversial evidence in the world of Bigfoot is the
Patterson-Gimlin 16-mm color film shot Oct. 20, 1967, in northern California
that clearly
depicts an apelike animal striding away from the camera. Bigfoot enthusiasts say
the film
is dramatic proof of the creatures? existence, while some members of the
scientific
community suggest it is merely a man in a monkey suit.

The most famous Texas case, Woolheater said, surrounds the ?Lake Worth Monster?
sightings
in 1969 near Fort Worth, when repeated up-close encounters with a Bigfoot buzzed
around
the area. As for the creature?s proximity to Galveston County, well, the
center?s Web Site
includes one only 40 miles north of Houston (Cleveland, 1995).

Colyer and Woolheater travel around the state gathering eyewitness reports.
Before sitting
down, however, they conduct a phone interview to weed out crank calls, which
amount to
about eight of every 10 contacts.

If a particular region is subject to numerous sightings, Colyer and his buddies
will don
their night vision goggles and haul infrared cameras, CD players and speakers
into the
woods in the middle of the night to play primate vocalizations at full blast in
hopes of
luring Bigfoot from its lair.

?A lot of these legitimate reports come from ministers and law enforcement
officers or
members of the military, people who I believe would have no motivation to create
a false
story,? Colyer said.

Woolheater said that many of the sightings reported today are from people who
claim to
have had encounters decades earlier.

?It?s traumatic when people see these things, and it?s cathartic for them to
finally be
able to tell their story to someone who won?t just call them names,? he said.

Woolheater and his wife were traveling through Louisiana in 1994 when the
headlights
revealed a 7-foot hairy creature standing upright at the edge of the woods along
the
highway.

?I wanted to get out of the car to take a look, but my wife refused to stop,? he
recalled.
?Seeing is believing, and it changes your whole outlook on reality.?

As for Colyer, his two encounters were more nerve-rattling, the kind of stories
suitable
for a campfire at Halloween. The most recent was in September when Colyer?s team
of 10
sleuths combed a section of Big Thicket National Preserve in southeast Texas in
response
to recent sightings.

Colyer said the team was playing gibbon vocalizations through loudspeakers after
dark when
something he claims was a Bigfoot answered back 150 yards from camp. Several
hours later,
at 3 a.m., Colyer and a team member awoke to what he describes as blood-curdling
growling
noises from the woods near their tent being answered by one of their tracking
dogs. When
the team members started yelling, the growling stopped.

With his wife a few yards behind him, Colyer said, he got the shock of his life
in Liberty
County a year earlier on a trail at dusk when he saw a ?reddish-brown hairy
creature?
accompanied by a pungent musky odor. The animal quickly bounded away, though
that memory
is constantly on his mind.

?I know they are there,? he said. ?The discovery of the century is just beyond
our
fingertips.?

FOREWORD

The release of the Malaysian Bigfoot Enigma Publication is the cumulative effort of many of my API team mates and our friends over the Causeway, to whom I am tremendously indebted to.

This Report also showcase the 1st release of the A'X'IAN Files, a term coined by me (pronounced as Asian Files) to represent the Asia's version of the famous 'X' Files series.

Currently API Cases can be seen over Singtel's 3G channels and previews can be seen at the website of it's X-Files producer, JT Koh.

When the December news broke that there was a Bigfoot sighted in Johor, the report ran practically around the globe and to which 1 organization known as The Bigfoot Field Researchers Organisation has dedicated a page to its updates.

The Asia Paranormal Investigators (API) is a paranormal research based group based in Singapore that strives to systematically analyze any strange occurrences happening in Singapore and around the region.

API is a relatively new organization founded in July 2005 and is staffed by local people and foreign counterparts both young and old. We are constantly seeking new opportunities to learn from our overseas counterparts when possible.

The purpose of writing this Report was to stem the increasingly erroneous media reports surfacing as a result of lack of information available (see Section 8), and especially to create a clearer understanding for our overseas friends who may be reading it without knowing the geographical and cultural aspect of the case.

This is API 1st attempt in writing such a publication (if it can be called one) and I am sure my written English would surely be appalling to some. I do apologize and I welcome any feedback or comments in This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

For the avid readers you may use the Content Page to browse through sections by sections, or just read downwards.

For those who wishes a quick summary you may go straight to Section 9, which will summarized all the findings in all the other sections.

If you would like follow our Bigfoot Discovery Trail where we went into Johor, then go to Section 7, where you can also view the beautiful landscape of Malaysia.

Clicking on most photos will bring you to a new window. Clicking on certain links will bring you to a bookmark placed in this report. After reading the bookmark, simply click BACK on your explorer browser to go back to the previous page you were reading.

LATEST! Exclusive video interview with Along, with interesting revelation. There are now TWO SEPARATE ENCOUNTERS in Kahang, NOT ONE. The reality of Bigfoot's identity is also reinforced. Details coming soon as soon as translation of Interview is completed. .

This has been 1 interesting journey, on the paper research, map reading, interviews with the locals that eventually enable us to arrive at the conclusion that the Bigfoot in Johor has been erroneously reported as many different encounters when it stemmed from just 1. The sightings in Mawai (of the 3 fish farm workers and the sightings in Kahang (of 3 Orang Asli that include Amir and Along on their way into the forests) are the same. We also conclude that the Bigfoot most probably is a specie of Ape known Orang Utan that manage to survive in Peninsular Malaysia for ten thousand years despite being thought as surviving only as the 2 known species that belonged to the Sumatra and Borneo island, there could be a 3rd. This could be supported by recent sightings as well as historical records of such encounters by the early settlers on Mawai.

Granted not all may agree with the findings in this Report, but then again the purpose of any report is the critical analysis of the event it is reporting on. Thus we welcome any feedback or comments in This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and will try to answer all queries and comments. Any fresh evidence or good comments will be updated in the Report and reflected in the Revision Page given due credit to the contributor. If you do not have a email account, you may submit through here.

If not, then stroll downwards and begin the API Bigfoot Discovery Trail.

I hope that you will enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.
